Description
The Orthodox Christian Church celebrates the Nativity of our Lord Jesus Christ on December 25, honoring the miraculous birth of the Savior by the Blessed Virgin Mary. According to the Gospel, Joseph and Mary traveled to Bethlehem to be counted during the census ordered by Caesar Augustus. Upon their arrival, they found no place to stay except a humble cave, where the Virgin Mary gave birth to Jesus Christ and placed Him in a manger.
