Saint Arsenios of Cappadocia was an esteemed archimandrite and spiritual leader from the village of Farasa in Cappadocia. He is honored as a saint by the Orthodox Church, with his canonization formalized in the Synod Act of February 11, 1986. At the age of 26, he became a monk at the Monastery of Timios Prodromos in Flaviana and was later ordained a deacon. Over the next fifty years, Saint Arsenios served as the spiritual guide for the Faras region, known for his ascetic life and deep devotion. He passed away on November 10, 1924, and was buried in the Church of Saint George in Corfu. In 1995, the relics of Saint Arsenios were rediscovered with the blessing of Saint Paisios. His relics are now housed in the Monastery of Saint John the Theologian in Souroti, Thessaloniki. The Orthodox Church celebrates his feast day every year on November 10.
